Susan Brown, Vice President of Sales and Marketing
As Vice President of Business Development and Marketing, Susan oversees sales and marketing activities, ensuring customers get every financial incentive available. She's become an expert on how homeowners, businesses and non-profits can get the fastest payback possible by taking advantage of federal, state and local incentives – including grants, tax credits, depreciation and utility rebates.
Susan Brown has long been an active proponent of clean, renewable energy. She is a frequent speaker on the topic of renewable energy for business, community, school and government groups. She also authors articles for Greenability Magazine, Kansas City infoZine®, and others on renewable energy topics and more. Susan holds a degree in Finance from the University of Missouri in Columbia and her professional experience includes sales and management with a national consumer products company. She also has an ownership stake in the company.
Susan serves on Platte County’s Green Build Committee and is a member of the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce Energy Task Force, the Greater Kansas City Plug-in Readiness Task Force, as well as the Mid-America Regional Council’s Air Quality Forum. She vice-chaired a Climate Protection Plan workgroup, which produced goals adopted by the city council and mayor of Kansas City, Missouri to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the city and the region. She was recognized as one of the Midwest’s Most Influential Women for 2009 by Midwest CEO Magazine.
Susan is past Chair of Concerned Citizens of Platte County, a citizen’s group that reached a collaborative agreement with Kansas City Power & Light in 2007 that resulted in groundbreaking company investments in renewable energy and energy efficiency.
